History

When we started work on the garden in April 1998, it consisted of a small, raised, garden area and two large paddocks. We re-contoured it using a JCB and now, after three garden extensions, have about 2 acres being developed as garden and 2 acres of grazing land, currently occupied by sheep.

Open Days

In 2008 we are open to the public three times. First, together with 14 other gardens in the village, on the weekend of 14-15 June. This is in aid of the local church, St Margaret's Somerset Hospice, and the Children's Hospice South West. Then on 22 June we open with 4 other gardens as part of the National Gardens Scheme (the yellow book). More information is on the Stogumber village website. Finally, on 7 September we open on our own as part of the National Gardens Scheme (the yellow book).
